Bids that land ready to compare
Because every bidder prices the same lines, bids arrive already lined up: item by item for an RFQ or a BoQ package, section by section for an RFP's proposal fields. Clarifications run in one thread so every bidder works from the same answer, and a revision or addendum reaches everyone at once, with a bid priced on the old version flagged. Before anything is ranked, items a bidder left unpriced are counted and priced back in at your estimate or the median of the other bids, so the lowest total on the day it lands is not automatically the lowest total once every gap is filled.
